Q: More Concerns about Health or Financial Risks?

A: People are currently more concerned about their financial outlook than their health.

Attitudes relating to respondents' own health and that of their loved ones were consistent from the first week to the second week of this data collection.

However, financial concern has decreased slightly—from 3.84 to 3.58—in the past week, perhaps due to the massive stimulus package passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump.

Specifically, we observed that 33% were "extremely concerned" last week, and now only 25% are "extremely concerned."

Additionally, 10% were "not at all concerned" (1 out of 5) or "not so concerned" (2 out of 5) last week. Now, 17% fall into those two categories of lowest concern.

While cannot draw definitive conclusions about causation from these results alone, it is worth noting that the $2 trillion economic stimulus package was passed unanimously in the Senate on March 25, 2020 (after the first week's survey data collection was complete and before the second week's data collection began).
