COVID-19 Takes a Toll on Mental Health | UPDATED

As an update to the April 30 post, we continued to ask respondents how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted their overall mental health. In April 2021, 55% of respondents reported that the pandemic has had an overall negative impact on their mental health (“mild” or “significant”). Our latest results reveal that 62% of respondents have experienced a negative impact on their mental health, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since April 2021, concerns surrounding a personally contracting COVID-19 and respondents struggling with mental health follow a very similar pattern. In our latest survey, we found that 24% of respondents were “very” or “extremely” concerned about contracting COVID-19, compared to 18% of respondents who shared that same sentiment in April 2021.
