In our April 19 survey, we found that most Americans still experience the effects of the pandemic in their daily lives.
Results reveal that 60% of respondents “disagree” or “strongly disagree” their lives have “generally returned to normal” since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, since January 2021, we observed a 17% decrease among respondents who believe that COVID-19 continues to impact their lives.
Not only are Americans more optimistic about a return to normalcy, but we also found that more respondents are engaging in various activities each month. Specifically, we observe increases among respondents dining at restaurants and socializing with friends and family.

Results based on surveys of 208 respondents from April 16, 2021 through April 18, 2021. All surveys were conducted online from respondents in the United States.
