Matt oversees the firm's day-to-day operations, managing a team of experts in science, finance, engineering, and other disciplines. Under his leadership, the company has developed cutting-edge software and investment techniques designed for stability and long-term results.

 

In addition to majoring in economics at the University of Michigan, Matt has studied computer science extensively. He previously worked for a global broker-dealer where he developed and supported risk management software for institutional options traders, proprietary databases and quantitative market analysis tools to screen the market for inefficiencies.

 

Matt is also actively involved in the company's philanthropic mission, which supports a wide variety of important causes through sponsorships, volunteering, and strategic collaboration. An avid proponent of education in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), Matt help launch the SBB Research Group STEM Scholarship. He also serves as a Commissioner for the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District.
